Hi, it's May here with a couple of fun cards that I made for Mama Elephant Designer Series. Here are what I came up with:
I created a colorful one-layer card using Chance of Rain. I first stamped the umbrella image a few times along the bottom of my card front. I masked off the images using sticky notes between stamping. Then I colored the images with Copic markers. After stamping the sentiment, I stamped raindrops all over the white spaces.
Next, I heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder to create a wet look. It's s shame my camera failed to catch the glossy look of the umbrellas. They look way better in real life. :)
I made another card with same design but slightly different colors. Which one do you like? Hope you love at least one of them. ;)
I made a video for you. It's my first video tutorial published in public, and I feel excited and nervous at the same time. Your small words of encouragement or love are deeply appreciated. Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel.
That's all I have today. I had so much fun playing with Mama Elephant's June Release. Thanks so much to Kryssi for inviting me as your guest designer this month. Happy crafting!
These are so cute!!! Great layout for the umbrellas!

ReplyDeleteLove both!!...great job with the video 😊
ReplyDeleteSimply amazing!! Love them both!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet cards, and great masking/coloring! I usually like the softer colors, but the bold ones are very appealing on this card! Still, for a baby shower the pastels would be totally cute!
ReplyDeleteLoved the card and the video, too! I like the bright colors in the umbrellas...very clever design!
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable and quite an inspiration, too. Loved your video and thanks so much for showing the Copic caps as you colored the images. I'm slowly acquiring Copics and your video helped me decide on some new colors to purchase. :-)
ReplyDeleteI at least love both of them. : ) great cards
ReplyDeleteI think both are very cute cards and I liked the video.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great and a wonderful job on the video.
ReplyDeleteGreat job. Love the cards. We have so much rain here, I may use this design to brighten up someone's day. TFS
ReplyDeleteThis was a great video. A nice refresher on how to mask. I have a bridal shower card I need to make and will use your technique only I am going to have some flowers raining along with raindrops. I may also use crystal effects also not sure yet. Thanks for posting that, it was very enjoyable. Robin Hawkins www.heresmyhart.com
