Otterly Adorable with Anna

Hello! Anna is here today to share my pop-up box card highlighting Otterly Adorable stamp set. I never before thought about these animals, but they are so sweet on these stamps! I couldn't pick one or two figures for my card, so I decided to create something big to fit them all. And pop-up box is a perfect decision for this.

I started with the creating of the box and then added some colored with dye-inks panels (I also sprinkled them with the water to add more texture and dimensions). The size of the cube is 2.5x2.5x2.5 inches (5x5 when it's closed). On the back panel (that is for 'sky' when the box is open) I stamped the sentiment. But it didn't fit the width so I curved it and fixed on the acrylic block. For the waves I cut some cardstock strips and cut off them with the wave dies from the coordinating creative cuts.

Finally I colored and cut all otters and placed them on the levels of my box so they look having fun. (And the tiny ball is from New Family stamp set). Have a good day!

  1. Very cute! Is there a die to make the box or did you just cut and fold paper. I just love the otterly adorable stamp set. These little otters are so very cute! Thanks for sharing

    1. There are a lot of you tube tutorials on how to make a pop up card in a box. If you have an Accu Cut die cutting machine, they do sell a die for this as well. Here is the link: http://www.accucutcraft.com/card-in-a-box-2.html I wait till Black Friday to buy my dies from them when they go half off. Sizzix also has a die for this by Lori Whitlock, here is a link:https://www.amazon.com/Sizzix-Bigz-Card-Lori-Whitlock/dp/B00OL1TOK6 If you own a die cutting machine that reads .SVG files, you can buy the same design for $1.99 in the Silhouette Design store: https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/57262 Here is a link to a "card in a box" tutorial with step by step directions and a video from Splitcoast Stampers:http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/popupboxcard/ Hope this helps!!

    1. Jackie, I made it by myself from one big piece of cardstock with cutting and folding the paper yes. But it is easy!

  6. Anna, your card is just too perfect for these super sweet stamps! I live in California, these sweet otters look just like this, swimming on their backs in the calm waters of Monterey Bay.
