Birthday Monkeys with Amy

Hello everyone! Amy here with a fun shaker card for the April Designer Series showcasing the adorable Birthday Monkeys stamp set and the coordinating Creative Cuts.

To begin, I stamped the images from Birthday Monkeys and the mice from the Tandem-Ride stamp sets. The two stamp sets work great together because they were both designed by Luli Bunny. I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating Creative Cuts to cut them out.

To make the front and the background panel, I trimmed two Bristol papers to an A2 size and lightly inked them with Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Salty Ocean Distress inks. After, I spritzed them with water to add texture.

I used the frame die from Madison Avenue Creative Cuts to die-cut one of the inked panels in order to make the shaker window frame. I also die-cut the negative with the cloud die from Landscape Trio Creative Cuts

On the background panel, I embossed the sentiment from Scripty Bday and glued on some jewels.

To assemble the card, I adhered a trimmed acetate behind the front window. Then, I adhered the die-cut cloud panel and the colored images on top as shown. After, I foam mounted the front panel to the background panel after adding jewels as the shaker element.

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed my project and I have inspired you to make some fun shaker cards using Mama Elephant products. Thank you so much for stopping by!
