Santa's Sleigh & Inside Arch with Thi

Hello, friends! Thi here and today for my Mama Elephant's Designer Series project, I made a pop up card using the newly released Santa's Sleigh stamp set with the Inside Arch Creative Cuts. I had so much fun making this card, you guys. I can't wait to make more of these fun, interactive beauties. Let's get started! First, I colored my images with Copic markers and diecut them with coordinating dies. (For the sign, I used a sentiment from an older stamp set, Mini Messages, and masked off the heart to stamp only the word "Santa".)

After I finished coloring and diecutting out the Santa's Sleigh images, I worked on my background by diecutting the large scalloped frame from Framed Tags - Chelsea Creative Cuts. I masked off the edges to keep them white and used a mini blending tool to blend Distress Ink in Chipped Sapphire, Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass. I then splashed some water and lifted it up for a dream, snowy background. I wanted it to be even more snowy, so I flicked on some white opaque paint. After the background completely dried, I stamped the "HO HO HO" using the Color Me Letters stamp set with Versamark and white embossing powder.

Next, I took out some navy card stock and die cut the Inside Arch Creative cut. I also cut a piece of 10.5 x 4 for the inside of my card. I cut it a little bit smaller than the card based because I find this makes it sit better inside the card. I adhered the inside arch into the card using strong score tape. I then added the reindeers and sleigh onto the arch and the inside of my card is complete. It was really easy to do and had such a fun impact when you open the card!

Now I finished up the card by adhering my background with foam tape onto a piece of card stock I made red by ink blending Distress Ink Candy Apple around the edges. I felt a little color would help it pop more. I added this entire piece to an A2 card base. I then adhered the remaining images with foam tape for dimension and my card could be finished at this point. But I added a little details with a white Gel pen and glossy accents for Santa's glasses and Rudolph's nose just to increase the cuteness factor (if that's possible) and my card is complete. I hope you like my project today and that I inspired you to make your own pop-up card!
