Scallop Tags Trio with Keeway

Hi friends! It's Keeway and I'm invading the blog today! Ready to start thinking about dressing up your holiday gifts?! One of my all-time favorite things to do even before cardmaking entered my life is gift wrapping. I have loved wrapping gifts so much since I was a little girl that my parents used to let me wrap the whole family's holiday gifts, even my own! And since I joined this crafting world, I started making handmade tags to go along with them.

This month Mama Elephant released the Scallop Tags Trio that is just perfect to create cute little tags to pair with all the cute stamps in your arsenal. Add these to a simple wrapped package for the perfect final touch to your gifts! Let's get started!

I made little scenes on each of my tags. I started by blending a large, thin piece of bristol board with Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch distress inks. I then die cut the various scallop tags out of this blended piece, and then die cut it again using the Galactic Cover die to create the snowy sky. Additionally, I die cut the same tags out of white card stock, and this was adhered behind the first tag flipped.

To finish off the background, I added a snowy ground by first die cutting a piece of white card stock with the Landscape Trio stitched hill border, and then the bottom edge of each tag. I gently blended the stitched edge with Tumbled Glass distress oxide and added it to the bottom of each respective tag.

Next, I stamped a few images from the Yappy Woofmas stamp set in dark brown ink, colored them with copic markers, and die cutted them with the coordinating dies. On the back of each tag, I stamped the words 'a gift for you', 'to:', and 'from:' using the Holiday Messages stamp set. I then die cut the mini versions of each of the Scallop Tags Trio out of a Nude color card stock. On each of these, I stamped a holiday sentiment from the Mini Messages stamp set in dark brown ink.

And now for final assembly! I added a candy cane pattern ribbon to each of the large tags, and then used jute twine to tie a bow with the smaller tag onto the ribbon. Now each tag is ready to be added to my gifts as soon as I write in names. Thanks for joining me today and see you next time!

  2. Again, don't know why the melting kitty snowman is within the dog stamps.
