Whimsy Alpha Dies with Mette

Mette Witus here today with the cutest alphabet banner featuring the new Buildabanner - Pennants Creative Cuts and Whimsy Alphas Creative Cuts.

I’ve only done A, B and C, as I don’t have a nursery to hang it in yet – but I know I’ll HAVE to make a full alphabet when I can find the excuse to do it.

I started by cutting both pennant piecesz from grey cardstock – and the oval again from white cardstock. I glued the two grey pennant pieces together to make one single pennant for each letter.
For each letter, I found a matching little word and image. If you want some of my ideas, I’ve added a list at the bottom, which includes all letters.

On the white oval, I stamped the image several times in matching grey ink, making sure to turn it and move it around to create a background. Then I glued it inside the grey banner, where it fits perfectly.
I also stamped the image with black ink on a separate piece of paper so I could color it in and cut it out.

Then I cut out the Whimsy Alphas letters from light blue cardstock, as well as a bunch of stars from the Buildabanner - Pennants Creative Cuts. It might even be fun to use different colors to indicate vowels and consonants. I glued each letter in the middle of the matching oval.

Then I stamped all my “.. for …” texts using the Lots of Letters Stamps, and cut them out using the shorter strip die from Sweet Feline Creative Cuts, making sure to center the text. Then I glued the strip below each letter on the pennants, giving the letters something to “stand” on. I also added my images so they balanced on the strip, which grounds them a bit, making them less “floaty”.
Then all that was left to do was string it all and add highlights with a white gel pen to the letters and the stars.
