Hello, crafty friends! Thi here and today I am sharing a card I made featuring Mama Elephant Milkshake stamp set and Big Best Wishes - Creative Cuts from the January's release! I just love it when Mama Elephant pairs adorable critters with giant sweets! I cannot get enough of these adorable images.
To start, I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers. I diecut the images with their coordinating dies and set them aside to work on the background and sentiment die.
For the background, I die cut a piece of watercolor paper with the largest rectangle from Basic Rectangles - Creative Cuts to get an A2 size background with those cute stitches on it. I then taped it down onto a board and watercolored with Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberries and Spiced Marmalade. I added some additional splatters of Picked Raspberries onto the background for interest.
While my background was drying, I die cut Big Best Wishes - Creative Cuts in a light blue card stock. I ink blended a little bit with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers just to give it a fun and interesting gradient. I also used this drying time to mount all my colored images on foam tape.
When the watercolor background was completely dry, I stamped a secondary sentiment from Milkshake onto the card with brown ink. I then assembled my card by adhered the Big Best Wishes sentiment on the card first with glue and then the images with their mounted foam tape. And that's it! Voila! My card is finished!
I hope you all enjoyed my card making process and as always, thank you for reading!
