Hello! Mette Witus here today with this fun easter card with egg painting and everything featuring the new Eggtastic Stamps and Rolling Waves Cover CC..
I am SO ready for spring and enjoying the outdoors – so while waiting for that I thought a nice easter card would be a great way to spend my time.
I started by stamping and coloring the Eggtastic images – I also added some birds from Tea With Friends, then I cut all of the images out with the matching dies. I really had a lot of fun painting the eggs with my own patterns, but you could really use small stamps instead if you prefer.
For the scene I cut out the Rolling Waves Cover from white cardstock and ink blended some distress inks to add some color to each section. Then added them to my cardbase.
Since I wanted to frame up my scene, I cut the rectangle frame from Oval Deco Frame. Before I glued it to the card, I colored each corner and middle of the card edges with a gold gel pen, since you can peek through the deco frame.
I stamped the “Happy Easter” sentiment from Eggtastic on some white cardstock and cut it out using one of the Sentiment Strips Creative Cuts.
Then it was all about adding the images – I made sure to add some of the eggs so they are hiding under the Deco Frame, which extends the scene a bit, making it seem like it continues outside the card.
