Thi here and today I am sharing a card I made using sweet images from Mama Elephant Owl Are You stamp set. I kept things very simple and really wanted to incorporate colors from some fun pattern paper I had on my desk and it turned out so cute.
First I colored the images with watercolors on watercolor paper. I'm just really into this coloring media right now - something about painting is very soothing. Once I finished coloring, I die cut them with their coordinating dies.
For the scene background, I cut the 3 smallest rectangle using the Basic Rectangles - CC to get the stitches on the edges for a finished look. I then ink blended with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Squeezed Lemonade. I also die cut the same rectangle onto kraft colored card stock and cut this down for a ground for my scene.
Next is to start working on the card base. I covered a top-folding A2 card base with the fun plaid pattern paper and that's it.
For a sentiment, I used Let's Chat - CC to add a fun speech bubble around a sentiment I chose from Owl Are You stamp set.
To assemble my card, I adhered the small rectangle scene on the A2 card base kind of off center to the right for something different and fun. I then adhered the images onto with foam tape.
And that's it! My card is finished! I hope you like my card and thank you for stopping by!
