As a newish company, we were so delighted and excited to see many of you participate in our inaugural challenge, it's been so encouraging for us to keep steamrolling forward! Without further delay, we are so pleased to announce the winner...

Congratulations Leigh Penner!

She created two amazing entries for the challenge.

I love the straightforward card Leigh created using Trifecta and On Target. The white embossed sentiment on top of the clear arrow is a very nice touch! That glittery heart is just divine!! See, glitter does make everything better! :)

We also love the tag Leigh created using Trifecta. I love that she stamped the red triangles to create a base line. Beautiful, simple, and gorgeous!

Congratulations again, Leigh! You also win a spot as an upcoming guest designer!!!

Before we go, we thought we'd highlight some of our faves!

Love this beauty by Samantha Mann. She used our Midnight Letters and stamped directly on top of glitter. How cool is that?!

Amy Kolling never disappoints with her fun designs! We love all the textures she created on this card using We Click.

Check out this super cool card by Stephanie Severin!! She used so many of our smaller stamps from Good Times, We Click, Geotagged!

Merry and Bright

Hey friends!! Quick Saturday post to remind you that our first color challenge ends tomorrow at 3PM EST, so get your entries in!!

I have one more card to share that's super quick and simple...

I drew a hill on a large post it note, cut it out then masked off the top of the hill. I then took a versamark ink pad and directly inked the bottom of the hill making sure there is even coverage. After that, I tossed on some sticky embossing powder, heated it then sprinkled glitter while it's still hot" so that it adhered.

So easy, right? The pole and sentiment is from Polar Pals.

Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone!

It's Angela here and here is my first blog post!  I know I've been pretty quiet here and it's because I've been working hard to learn all about this stamping world. I come from an animation background and then I went into graphic design. I  didn't know anything about stamping until I re-connected with Kryssi after all these years. It's been fun reminiscing about our childhood days while we pack our stamps.

In between designing and shipping I try to sneak a tutorial here and there to learn all about different tools and techniques to making a card. It's also been great inspiration for me from everyone who's posted their work on Flicker, Facebook and Twitter. So please, keep them coming and don't forget to join our challenge here!

So here is a card to all those who has inspired, taught and encouraged me through this whole learning process. Thank-you and I wish you and your family a safe and merry holiday.

Our deepest sympathy...

It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. As you may know, I live in New York. Newton, Connecticut is just a little over an hour drive for me. Newton, CT is also minutes away from Danbury, CT. My in-laws made their first home in Danbury when they moved to the United States some 40 years ago. My late mother in law also described it as the home where she spent the happiest years of her life.

I shudder to feel such tragedy hit so close to home. I also have a child in first grade, so that scares me even more. Like many of you, I feel helpless that the unthinkable can happen to innocent angels. I've snuggled both my kids a little harder and longer each day since. There's nothing we can do to turn the pages back, but we can all move forward and help with the healing process.

We have decided to donate 20% of our profits from now until January 15th to the families of the Newton victims.

Drawn Together: For the community of Sandy Hook Elementary School

We will also be making a monetary contribution to Drawn Together, a cause that Amber at Damask Love has put together to help the Newton community. I encourage you to visit the link, read up on it, and take action. If you would like to contribute by making a monetary donation directly, we will give away a $20 gift certificate to one random person who donates $20 or more through our donate link below. Thank you everyone, let's keep this going...

I actually made a few different variations using the same elements, just moved things around.

The triangle pattern is stamped with our Trifecta stamp set. You need this one, seriously.

I've also got a little treat for you. As you know there are two Mama's in Mama Elephant -- myself and Angela. She got inky and did a great job on her debut card using Polar Pals

Mama Elephant December Stampede!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Mama Elephant's December Stampede! You got the first taste of our stampede on our launch day (Day 1 and Day 2) and we're back to do it again! Basically, it's a blog hoppin' blitz where we stampede through our designers' blogs as they showcase our November release stamps again! Joining us once more are our super wonderful guests - Lexi Bridges, Teri Anderson, Joy Taylor and Julie Ebersole!

So, remember a couple of posts back I said I wanted to show you my original intent with our No Peeking stamp set? Well, I finally got around to it! I'm a big, big fan of kraft wrapping paper and then dressing it up with something cute and festive. I thought how cool and convenient would it be to stamp directly on the kraft wrapping paper? You can make your own custom wrapping paper with any stamps you have in your stash, but let's take it a step further and finish it off with a tag complete with a faux hanging string.

Here's a closer look at the stamping. I colored the polar bear in with white colored pencils. I also outlined the perimeter of the tag with the white colored pencil. It helped give the tag some pop and definition.  The red scarf was colored with a Copic marker.

I created the tag and snowflakes with No Peeking. The small round dot is from Cup of Wishes and the little star/snow confetti is from Believe in Magic. I really love that little stamp!

Okay, you ready to stampede along? We're giving away a gift certificate to our store to one person - so make sure you leave some love on everyone's blogs to increase your chances! The winner will be announced right here on December 5th. Here's the list of designers and their blogs, now off you go!
