Hola! Take a peek over at the Studio Calico blog. Our girls are featuring the exclusive stamp set Mama Elephant designed for the Cinnamon Spice kit. :)
Today we begin a new feature here at the ME blog called the Designer Series. Designer Series will typically begin right after Stamp Highlights. I think we have truly phenomenal designers that are beyond talented when it comes to stamps and ink! We want to give all our designers their own days to shine right here! This gives them the exposure and opportunity to show of all their tips and tricks that you may have missed in the truncated Stamp Highlights posts. And it will allow all of us to get to know them better too. That's always a plus! :) So, you'll find lots of great personalities, tutorials, and videos that will really help you make the most of your ME stamps. We hope you enjoy this new feature! The first designer up to bat is the ever so lovely Laura Bassen!
Hi everybody! Laura Bassen here and today I have a cute little treat bag to show you using the Cozy Christmas stamp set.

Hi everybody! Laura Bassen here and today I have a cute little treat bag to show you using the Cozy Christmas stamp set.
I used an X-acto knife to trim Santa's mittens so that I could slip the present in.

Here's a video showing you how I created this simple little treat bag.
Thanks so much for looking!
So cute, Laura! I think my favorite part was learning how you stapled the baker's twine on there and then tied your bow. Great idea! Your videos are quickly becoming my favorite to watch! Maybe it's the cute mentions of your Emma, I don't know, I just love it! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, Laura! I love how you manipulated the image to make Santa hold the present!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this Laura! You are an amazing designer, always making the most fabulous projects!
ReplyDeleteLaura has the best ideas and she's so much fun to listen to, too. Great treat bag and even if she's not Copic certified, she did a stellar job coloring Santa. Great tip about cutting the mittens to insert the gift.
ReplyDeleteI want this fantastic Santa!
ReplyDeleteLove watching Laura's videos - she's such a hoot!! And that staple tip was awesome - so much easier than punching a hole in the bag and threading the twine through!!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! Laura, you do what you do, what you do, so well. :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful video. Great project. Thanks for sharing how you got Santa to hold the present.
ReplyDeleteJust adorable Laura! Thanks for the sweet video!
ReplyDeleteLove your videos - your commentary style is so easy to listen to. I really love the tip on cutting santa's mitts so that he can hold the present. Love how you describe your colouring technique.
ReplyDeleteReally cute. I wish I was better at coloring. I guess I will have to practice...
ReplyDeleteSuch a darling tag, Laura! I love how you cut around the mittens to tuck the gift inside...and I think your coloring is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for another great video! I love your style of teaching and really enjoy hearing about Emma! I enjoy seeing her, too :-)
Great video inspiration-got to do this for the kids at the holiday dinner table.
