DS: Hello JJ Bolton!

Hi everyone!  Just JJ stopping by the Mama Elephant blog with a couple of cards using the new Hello Script word die!  I can't resist a good word die, especially in this adorable handwritten style!

My first card features a split panel style with pink card stock on top and metallic gold on the bottom.  This is a perfect technique when you have a die that is as wide as your card front.

The first step to this card is to die cut the word from the bottom of the pink card stock and then from the top of the gold card stock.  The key to success is making sure that the die is level.  To make sure that the die is placed correctly, I drew a pencil line across the back die that I lined up against the grid.

Then I die cut the word in plain white card stock and pieced all the 3 pieces together.  To keep the 3 pieces together, I used some of my 1/4" wide foam tape on the back of the panel.  All ready to attach to the card base!

To give a little something extra, I covered the card base with a bit of glitter behind the die cut (thanks so my Wink of Stella pen) and added a few die cut sequins in the same metallic gold card stock.

My second card is a super easy shaker card using washi. I love how sparkly this one turned out!

The word die cut is glued to the black card base but it almost looks like it's hovering under the acetate.  The layer of acetate is attached to the card base by using washi tape all along the edges (don't you just love this gold washi that I got from Wida?)  I filled the shaker with hexagon glitter, sequin stars, and faceted sequins.  So much fun!

I hope you see how versatile and fun this new word die is!  Thank you so much for stopping in!

Mahalo and Aloha,
jj
