Bootastic with Nichol (and a video)!

Hi stampin' friends! It's that time of year where Halloween isn't that far away... crazy, I know!
I am so excited that Mama Elephant has released a set of coordinating Bootastic Creative Cuts dies for their popular Bootastic Stamp Set! I created this cute little fright night scene card showcasing the Bootastic Stamp Set and Bootastic Coordinating dies as well as the new Index Card Creative Cuts dies and Cityscape Creative Cuts dies.

I created the background by die cutting some black cardstock using the stitched rectangle Index Card Creative Cuts die and inking a starry background with white ink and a star stencil.
I die cut the Cityscape Creative Cuts from three shades of gray cardstock and layered them along the bottom edge of the starry background, finishing the bottom with the die cut "street" from the Cityscape Creative Cuts.

I punched a circle from some yellow cardstock, brushed over it with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker and tucked it behind the cityscape.

I stamped several cute images from the Bootastic Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them in with Copic Markers and Wink of Stella Black Glitter Brush Marker, then die cut them with the coordinating Bootastic Creative Cuts. I adhered the kids, kitty and spider die cuts along the die cut "street".

For the greeting, I stamped one of the phrases from the Bootastic Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock, colored in the letters on the word "Peekaboo" with Copic Markers and then used the speech bubble die from the Index Card Creative Cuts die set to die cut the greeting. I added some texture above and below the greeting using a border stamp from the Basic Borders Stamp Set.

I finished the design with the stamped and die cut bats.

  2. I actually used versafine black ink with this stamp set and just let it dry a bit and was careful not to color OVER any black, just in the white spots...then I filled in any missing black with black copic. :)
