Botanic Hello with Pamela

Good morning everyone! This is Pamela and I'm back on Mama Elephant's blog for a project using the gorgeous Botanic Hello. I just love colouring the flowers of this stamp set! This stamp set is awesome when you're in need of some simple postcards. I love creating postcards these days because I don't need to make any envelopes for them. All I need to do is to write a simple message stick a stamp in the corner and mail it out! Plus it gives the mailman/lady some eye candy too :) I started by stamping out the large stamp set on a piece of cardstock and coloured it in with copics.

DS - Botanic Hello - 2

Since I'm using copics for colours and it bleeds through my cardstock, I created 2 pieces of cardstock at the same size and I simply adhere them together so you can't see the bleeding. Plus it's more sturdy this way!

 DS - Botanic Hello - 3

I added some sparkles to the word "hello", with more sparkles at the bottom of the letters and gradually spacing them apart at the top.

 DS - Botanic Hello - 4

The back of the postcard was decorated using the stitched line from the stamp set as well as Crafty Labels for the lines.

And there you have it! A simple yet stunning postcard for your recipient. The mailman/lady will certainly enjoy delivering this!

Otterly Adorable with Laura

Hi there! Laura here and today I have a fun project to share featuring the Otterly Adorable stamp set and coordinating Creative Cuts.

Mama Elephant-Otterly Adorable

The coordinating Creative Cuts for this set really makes it fun. You can tuck the otters into the waves as well as tucking all sort of fun accessories into their hands. Are they hands or paws? Hmm...

Mama Elephant-Otterly Adorable

For the background I masked off the waves and sky and blended in Sunshine & Rainwater pigment inks.

I couldn't resist adding the lemonade to the one otter's hand and stitching a row of rainbow hearts. I manipulated the sentiment stamp to make it bend along with the strand of hearts.

Wishing you have an "otterly" awesome day:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

January Release and Stampede

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Design Team blog hop!

Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

www.mamaelephant.com

I have two cards to share with you today! I'm slightly obsessed with the new Botanic Hello and have found that there is much you can do with this set!

Here, I white embossed the image onto kraft cardstock then took a white colored pencil and gave the florals some shading. It really made the HELLO stand out and gave the florals a softer look.

The next card is created by our resident crafter Cindy who kept making Benedict Cumberbatch references when she was looking at the Otterly Adorable set. We came across a couple of references on our social media accounts too when we first peeked Otterly Adorable.

Apparently, there's something about a wildly popular show starring Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and that he resembles an otter?! I gave Cindy free liberty to pay homage to this reference and here is what she created!

Cute, right? And the "did you miss me?" sentiment relates to the fact that the show only airs something like 3 episodes every few years?! Whaaaat?!

On the inside she stamped the sentiment "because I've missed you."

Such a great card in general, but especially for those who gets these Sherlock/Benedict Cumberbatch references!
