Handmade Happiness with Thi

Hello, friends! Thi here and today I am sharing a delicious card I made using Mama Elephant Sugar Cookies - Creative Cuts and Handmade Happiness stamp set! These cookies really put me into the holiday baking spirit - I may or may have not eaten a few cookies after making this card.
To start my card, I cut a piece of Kraft paper in half and used half of it as my top folding A2 card base and the other I die cut all my cookie bases out of it. To add dimension, I ink blended the edges with Distress Ink in Gathered Twigs.
I then arranged them on my card to decide how many "frosting" pieces I need to make. I die cut these out onto white Bristol smooth card stock and inked the entire thing up with Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar. Last, I die cut the sprinkles with white card stock.
Assembling my cookies was very easy - I just glued them all together and put a stamp block onto as a weight to ensure it's really adhered well! The toughest part (but super satisfying) was putting the sprinkles onto my cookies. I used a pair of tweezers and dipped each one in a little glue that I squeezed out onto a piece of scratch paper. At this point if you don't want to make a card, the completed cookies make adorable ornaments or tags!
But I am making a card today, so I put a piece of foam tape behind every cookie and arranged them onto my card base. I love this dimensional, tone-on-tone look.
I then stamped the Baked with Love sentiment from Handmade Happiness with Mama Elephant Bubblegum pigment ink and cut it out with scissors and also adhered it onto my card base with foam tape.
To finish off the card, I stamped "Limited Edition" (also from Handmade Happiness) with white pigment ink directly into the card base and my card is complete! The perfect card for my baker friends or anybody who loves cookies - which is everybody, right?
I hope you enjoyed this little project and as always, thanks for stopping by! Ciao!
