Mette here today with this cute-tea card featuring the new Slim Card Basics, Headliner Alphas and Boba Tea stamps and dies.
I started off by stamping and coloring two of the adorable Boba Tea cups with the little faces in them, before cutting them out with the matching dies. I used the following Copics:
- Drink: E43, E40, R20
- Whipped Cream: W1, 0, E33
- Straw: BG13, BG10
- Cup: C1, 0
For the background, I cut out the stitched rectangle from Slim Card Basics and ink blended a background using Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough. Then I splattered that with water, gold spray and white gouache. While that was drying, I cut out two of the scallop rectangles in white for my card base. On one of them I scored at ½ inch on the short end, and glued them together on that little flap.
After all that was completely dry, I cut out the sentiment “Cute-tea” using the Headliner Alphas from the background and 3 layers of white cardstock. I glued all the same letters together to make them stand out more. I also gold heat embossed the “to my favorite” from the Boba Tea stamp set above the letters to complete the sentiment.
I glued the stitched rectangle to the scallop card base, adding in the stacked letters. Then all that’s left to do is add the cups.
