Guest Designer Debby with Slim Film City Creative Cuts

Hi everybody! Debby here. I wanted to share a simple and fun project with you. Hope you will like it! I had a lot of fun creating this soft slimline card.

I started with the slimline card base. I used the biggest scalloped die from Mama Elephant -slim film city. How fun is this die?! Love the odd scalloped edge!

I inked it with Distress Oxide inks dried marigold and worn lipstick. For the card panel, i used the smallest scalloped die with the stitching, from the same die set.  I inked it with Distress Oxide inks scattered straw and spun sugar. When these two colors come together, they give such a gorgeous soft orange color! I dropped a tiny bit of water on the panel. I placed the card panel on the card base with double sided foam tape. I stamped and cut the dogs from Mama Elephant -zodiac dog. I drew a tie on one dog and a ballerina outfit on the other one. Colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers.

I added a few flowers from the Mama Elephant -big news stamp set on the ballerina. I also stamped the sentiment on her belly from the same stamp set. The butterflies are from Mama Elephant -my pet kitties stamp set.  I die cut the letters from Mama Elephant -whimsy alphas, twice. Inked them with Distress Oxide inks worn lipstick and dusty concord. I arranged all the pieces on the card. I did not use any glitter or shine on this card. I wanted to keep it very soft.

Guest Designer Debby with Zodiac Dog

Hello all! Debby here with a 'Tutu-fun' project!

I started with the card panel. I used the gorgeous scalloped die from Mama Elephant -frilly window frame. The stitching details on this die gives it such a cute effect!  I inked it with Distress Oxide inks tattered rose, worn lipstick and picked raspberry. I went darker at the edges and very soft in the center, so it would give it a glowy effect. Kind of a spotlight look. I splattered some water on it to give it a little extra interest. I used the stars from the Mama Elephant -star grid window die set.

I stamped the cute doggies with the dog-balloon stamp from the Mama Elephant -zodiac dog, on the stars. Every time in a different angle. I also stamped one on a yellow sticky note. I masked the little dogs so i could ink the rest of the star. I used Distress Oxide inks squeezed lemonade and wild honey. I colored the dogs with Spectrum Noir Markers. Placed them on the card panel with foam squares.

I stamped and die cut the dog from Mama Elephant -zodiac dog. I colored her with Spectrum Noir Markers and i added a little tutu on her, because she is a little ballerina :)I used soft pink tule for it. I placed her on the card panel with foam squares. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on the card panel with Versafine onyx black ink. For a little sparkle and shine, i added drops from a mix of Ranger Glossy Accents and Distress Glitter Dust -vintage platinum.

Paw-ty time with this girl ;)

Guest Designer Debby with Little Agenda Spaceship

Hey all! Debby here again with a 'spacy' project this time.

I started with the card panel. I used the Mama Elephant -star grid window.
I inked it with Distress Oxide inks shabby shutters, tumbled glass and spun sugar.
Now i knew where the colors would come on the card base, so i could ink that piece. I used Distress Oxide inks bundled sage, peacock feathers and worn lipstick. I placed the card panel on the card base with double sided foam tape.

I stamped all the images from Mama Elephant -little agenda spaceship. I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers and added some details with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I placed them on the card with foam squares and some with glue. The banners are from Mama Elephant -swinging borders. I fuzzy cutted the border down with a scissor.

The 'hip hip' is from the Mama Elephant stamp set -hooray wishes.  And the 'hooray' well, i wrote it myself with a black fineliner :) I absolutely love the little agenda spaceship stamp set! It can be used in so many different ways and colors. It can give your cards a totaly different look and vibe, every time.

Guest Designer Debby Van Diepen with Zodiac Monkey

Hi! I am Debby van Diepen and I am Guest Designing for Mama Elephant today! Here is a little bit of myself:

I am happily living in The Netherlands with my family. My husband Sjoerd and three kids. We have lost our baby boy 5 years ago, and that was the time i really started with the art of cardmaking. I have always been very creative (i even was a graphic designer student once). But in that time, i needed a 'bubble' for myself to step out of the 'real' world. I could handle my grief better that way. Since then i am very much into cardmaking and i absolutely love it! I love to step in my bubble and give my creative brain a form. A few months ago i discoverd the world of cute critters from Mama Elephant more, Snow Angels, to be excact. Those cuties are still my biggest love ;) Since then i started making cards with critters and scènes more. I love working with them, never thought i would hahaha.

I am very honoured to have a spot here on this amazing blog among these amazingly talented designers!

Hugs, Debby

For this slimline project i used a few different ME stamp sets and the Slim Card Basics die set and Whimsy Alphas die set. The stamp sets i used are 'me and my yeti' 'little sloth agenda' and 'swinging borders'.

I started with the card panel. I die cut the scallop piece and the cloud edge piece. I inked the pieces with Distress Oxide inks bundled sage and shabby shutters. I also used a green pencil to color the edge of the bush (cloud) piece.

I stamped all my images and I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers. Added some extra details with a red pencil and a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I arranged all the stamped images on the card. Some, i glued down and for others i used foam squares.

For the letters i used the Whimsy Alphas die set. Inked them with Distress Oxide ink shabby shutters and added on a few places some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse - mother of pearl. I inked the card base with Distress Oxide ink pumice stone. I placed the card panel on the card base with double sided foam tape. And that's it! Hope you like this project. I had a lot of fun making it!
