Lil Toy Machine with Megan

Hello! I am back on the Mama Elephant Blog today with a fun card to share with you featuring the new Lil Toy Machine Stamp Set. Wouldn't it be nice to have a machine to make snowball fights faster and easier?! I thought so and that was the inspiration for my card.

One of my all time favorite stamp sets is Me and My Yeti. It has all the images you need to build the cutest scenes and I cannot get over how precious the yetis are. I combined it with Lil Toy Machine here. I began my card by stamping the images out on white cardstock using a dark brown hybrid ink. I then colored them using Copic Markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies.

For the main panel, I die cut two pieces of Bristol Cardstock using the largest stitched rectangle from Peek A Frame - Creative Cuts. I masked the edges with Post It Tape to keep a nice white border around the edges of the panels. For the main background panel, I ink blended Speckled Egg, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Inks for the sky. I then flicked on Copic white to give the illusion of snowflakes. For the snow banks, I used the two sloping dies from the Landscape Trio - Creative Cuts and die cut them from the second rectangle. I then ink blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink towards the bottom of both of the snow banks

I used tape runner and foam tape to adhere the scene building elements to the card front. I then used a mix of glue dots, foam tape, and liquid glue to adhere the die cut images to form the scene. To make it look like the images cast a shadow, I used Copic Markers (BG000, BG0000, and 0) to shade beneath them. to finish the design, I stamped a sentiment from Lil Toy Machine using the same brown hybrid ink as I stamped the images.
