Comic Sayings with Vera

Hi, there! It's Vera here today and I'll be sharing my project with you featuring the Mama Elephant Comic Sayings stamp set. I paired it with the Little Superhero Agenda and Little Ninja Agenda stamp set.

First, I stamped the images from Little Superhero Agenda and Little Ninja Agenda stamp set on Copic-friendly paper and cut it out with Little Superhero Agenda - Creative Cuts and Little Ninja Agenda - Creative CutsNext, I die cut the bubble words from Slim Comic Strips - Creative Cuts on white and gray card stock. For the card project, I die-cut Comic Cover Basic - Creative Cuts on white card stock. I also die-cut Basic Rectangle on watercolor paper, and ink blended with distress inks.

Here is the finished card

Next, I created fun mini labels. You can use it for journaling or other projects.

Thank you for joining me, I hope you enjoy today's inspiration, and see you next time!

Ninja Sayings with Megan

Hello! This is Megan and I am back on the Mama Elephant Blog today to share a project featuring the new Ninja Sayings stamp set. This set has sentiments geared towards ninja lovers everywhere. It's perfect to pair with Little Ninja Agenda and Tiny Ninja, but it has sentiments that can be used for other occasions as well. I wanted to show how versatile this set is so I paired it with some older products that have a friendship theme.

To begin, I stamped images from Girlfriends, Sunday Stroll, Little Agenda Spaceship, and Scene Builder stamp sets onto white cardstock using a brown hybrid ink. I then colored the images using Copic Makers and die cut them using the coordinating creative cuts.

Next, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest rectangle from the Peek A Frame CC. I masked off the edges using Post It Tape and ink blended the panel using the following Distress Inks: Milled Lavender, Kitsch Flamingo, and Seedless Preserves. I then flicked on Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink with a small paintbrush.

For the hills, I die cut a second rectangle from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and used the Landscape Trio CC to create the slopes. I ink blended the pieces with Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Inks. I used Pine Needles for the splatter on these panels.

As a fun surprise, I used a double loop slider mechanism to make the card interactive. I used the Slider Glider CC for the pull tab. When you pull the tab at the bottom, one of the friends pop up from behind the group. I think that this effect is the perfect match for the sentiment that says "even though you may not see me, know that I am always there for you".

This card would cheer up anyone! I love the gleeful expression on their faces and hope that you do too! For your convenience, I have listed and the linked the Mama Elephant products that I used below. Have a great day!

Little Superhero Agenda with Mette

Hello! Mette Witus here today with an adorable hero card featuring the new Little Superhero Agenda stamps and Slim Comic Cover Creative Cuts.

Mette Witus Designer Series, March 2021

I started by stamping the Little Superhero Agenda bunny on some white cardstock and some masking paper. I masked off the bunny and then stamped the spaceship from Little Agenda Spaceship as if he is holding it up or pushing it. Of course I added the little bunny inside the spaceship too.

Then I colored in the spaceship and superhero, then cut them out using a pair of scissors. If you don’t like cutting them out, you could stamp them separately and use the matching dies.

To create a city for the spaceship to be lifted above, I used one of the wonky pieces from inside the Slim Comic Cover. On that I ink blended a whole bunch of clouds to create a sky.

Then I colored some cardstock with my Copics, making it darker grey at the bottom and lighter at the top. I used the Cityscape die to cut out a city border to fit on the wonky piece.

Mette Witus Designer Series, March 2021

I really wanted to make a fun but simple background for my little hero, so I cut out a whole bunch of the speech bubbles from Slim Comic Cover in white cardstock. I glued all of these to my card base, including the tiny pieces inside the letters such as O, A and B. If you want to make a colorful background you could even cut the speech bubbles from colorful cardstock and inlay the letters.

For my sentiment I stamped and colored one of the sentiments from Tiny Heroes, then cut it out using the small rectangle from Mega Flipper.

Finally, I glued the wonky sky and city piece to the card base, then popped up the sentiment and the superhero using some foam squares.

Little Superhero Agenda with Thi

Hello, friends! Thi here and today I am sharing a fun slimline card I made with Mama Elephant Little Superhero Agenda stamp set and the new Slim Comic Strip - Creative Cut that cuts out the perfect frame for this slimline card. I decided to make a card for a friend I haven't seen for awhile due to the pandemic and these sentiments from the Comic Sayings stamp set couldn't be anymore perfect.

To start, I colored the images from Little Superhero Agenda with Copic markers in fun, bright primary colors and die cut them with their coordinating dies.

Next, I die cut Slim Comic Strip - CC onto a piece of Bristol smooth card stock. I kept the inside pieces and ink blended skies for each of them with Distress Oxide in Tumbled Glass.

I wanted a fun sentiment that would stand out among the sky and sweet little images, so I pulled out the "hello" word die from the On The Hill - CC (an oldie but goodie).

For assembly, I glued the frame and inside sky pieces directly onto a slimline card base that I made to match the dimension of the frame. I glued the "hello" die cut on next.

I popped each of the little critters onto the card base with foam tape then finished the card by stamping sentiments from Comic Saying directly onto the card - and that's it! My card is finished!
