Hello, stampers!
It’s Jennifer here and I am so very pleased to be back. Today I have a video showing how to do something different with one of the awesome new Mama Elephant stamp sets… by going to town with the inky goodness of Distress Markers…
Stamps used: Filigree, So Breezy |
Now you could definitely do this technique with any type of watercolor. Or, just press your Distress Ink pads onto an acrylic block and use them as watercolor paint with a wet brush. I just love the ease of the Distress Markers. Whatever you use, be sure to use a good watercolor paper and white embossing powder for best results.
I know this style of card is different than the clean and simple style that Mama Elephant stamps work so well with. But that’s what makes it fun! I would love to see how you use your ME stamps for new looks. Be sure to share!
Thanks for having me, Kryssi. Big hugs!
Jennifer
Soooo fabulous! I love this look!
ReplyDeleteDidn't think I'd have time to craft today but am suddenly inspired to go play! :)
ReplyDeleteNice card. I really like the colors.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always~~!!! ~God bless~
ReplyDeleteLove the effect you get.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea and love the look it produced. Thanks for the video.
ReplyDeleteFantastic
ReplyDeleteI have a whole set of Distress markers but have never used them in this way. Thanks for the very informative video.
ReplyDeleteThe water color technique on the doily really makes it the focal point. The new water coloring, with my favorite markers, and the double stamping is so easy but the results do make the colors "pop" on craft paper!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love the creative use of that stamp in the corners! Love the Distress Markers, also! The colors are lovely. It's a beautiful card! Thanks for the video, I love to watch you at play! LOL
ReplyDeleteah-mazing as always!!!
