FIRST LOOK: BOOTASTIC

Hey friends! Welcome to our first look at Bootastic... I, for one, don't give out many (or any?!) Halloween cards, but with young kiddies, trick-or-treating is a must. Because most of my friends and family have younger kids, it's just safer to have a private Halloween party, and we exchange goodies that way. I have created mini goodie bags in the past and completed them with Halloween tags. That's the funnest part! Kids love to receive personalized treats!

  • Bootastic will be available for purchase August 15th
  • Bootastic comes in a 4x6 clear acetate sheet and will retail for $15.00
  • Bootastic contains 17 stamps: 4 sentiments and 13 images. Approximate measurements: Peekaboo a little treat for you: 2-3/8" x 3/4"; Princess: 1-7/16" x 1-1/8"; Cat: 7/8" 3/4"

I had so much fun creating this card. I must say that all that fussy cutting and layering is quite out of my norm, but I was just feelin' it when I sat down to create this card. It turned out so, so cute!

I first stamped all the characters out, colored them in with Copic markers then went ahead and cut them out. Painstaking process, for me at least! Then I die cut a circle and stamped the bat and sentiment. It's supposed to be a moon! I punche dout the fence border from a border punch, I believe it's from Martha Stewart? Now the fun part, layering everything up, looks so cool! As a final step, I used a white gel pen to draw in some stars.

Here's a closer look at those mini trick or treaters! Aren't they cute? And that princess can be used for so much more than Halloween!

My next project, since we're in the Halloween mood and all, I decided to get a head start on those tags I was talking about. I used the Peekaboo sentiment and stamped all the characters onto the tags. Then I colored with Copic markers so that there was a gradient of orange and grey. it's my favorite thing to do these days!

Here is the finished tag attached to a goodie bag (there are chocolate and strawberry YanYan cookie sticks inside) and finished off with some black floss. So fast and easy, which is critical when it comes to any type of mass production project!

Ahh, it looks great and you'll be the talk of the party (or neighborhood!) if you hand these babies out! ;)

Bootastic is quite perfect for creating scary little treats or frightfully cute cards, don't you agree?
