hi there! Elena here, to share a card I made with the new cityscape creative cuts.
It's a marriage made in crafty heaven: i naturally paired the cityscape and road dies with images from sightseeing. To be able to give centre stage to the dies, I shifted the double-decker bus to the side and attached the sentiment so it floats behind. As a little aside, I heat-embossed the bus with red embossing powder, and I love how rich and vibrant it looks!
To create interest with the cityscape dies, I ran it through my machine in grey, (I did this for both the road and the buildings. I wanted it to look like the lights were all on with the yellow in behind!) but I also cut into the sky panel so that I could fit the grey buildings flush with the sky.
I used distress inks to create the sky, and flicked on some shimmer when I was happy with the color.
I hope you like what I've created! Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteDelightful creation!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to cut the sky to be flush with the buildings. I also love the bus on the side so it does not detract from your focal.
