Holiday Bitties with Amy

Hi there! Amy here today with a fun interactive flip slider card featuring the adorable Holiday Bitties stamp set.

To begin, I Copic colored the stamped images from the Holiday Bitties stamp set and cut them out with the coordinating Holiday Bitties Creative Cuts. How cute are these images?

For the front panel, I die-cut white cardstock with a frame die from All Prettied Up - Creative-Cuts. Then, I covered the scalloped edges with washi tape and stamped the smaller images using a pink dye ink to create a patterned background.

For the flip slider, I used the Flip Slider Creative Cuts. Before die-cutting the larger squares, I die-cut the pink cardstock with Galactic Cover Creative Cuts. Here's a great picture tutorial on how to make a flip slider from the ME Website:

You can also watch helpful tutorials by the super talented DT members Nichol Spohr (HERE) and by Laura Bassen (HERE).

I white heat-embossed the direction word "Pull" on the flip slider using the Lots Of Letters stamp set

Then, I white heat embossed the sentiment "Merry Christmas" from the Scripty Xmas stamp set. Please note: I cut apart the words so that I can stamp them going across. Then, I trimmed the sentiment out using a paper trimmer.

To assemble the card, I adhered the front panel on top of an A2 sized red panel. Then, I foam mounted the sentiment. After, I glued down the two flip sliders to the card front as well for double the fun.

That's it for today. I hope you enjoyed my project!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Inside Pop Card Holder with Nichol

Hello! Nichol here today with an interactive Inside Pop Card Holder card featuring new stamps and dies from the October 2018 Mama Elephant Release. The Holiday Bitties stamps and dies, Holiday Messages stamps, and Scallop Tags Trio Creative Cuts Dies were all used with the Inside Pop Card Holder to create this adorable ugly sweater card that holds a gift card! The Inside Pop Card Holder works great for Christmas and holiday gift giving but can work for all kinds of gift-giving occasions!

ME_InsidePopCardHolder1

The Inside Pop Card Holder and rounded handle was die cut twice from red cardstock and assembled according to the video instructions to the inside of a white side fold card base. Ugly holiday sweaters from the Holiday Bitties Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with black ink, colored in with Copic Markers, and die cut with the Holiday Bitties Dies before being adhered to the gift card holder as shown.

A sentiment from the Holiday Messages Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock with black ink, trimmed into a thin strip and adhered below the sweaters. A gift tag was die cut using a Scallop Tags Trio Creative Cuts Die, stamped with "to" and "from" from the Holiday Messages Stamp Set using black ink and tied to the gift bag handle with green twine to finish the inside of the card.

ME_InsidePopCardHolder4

ME_InsidePopCardHolder4For the front of the card, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks were used to color in a piece of smooth white cardstock. Picket Fence Distress Paint was watered down and splattered over the background for distressing. Once dry, the panel was die cut with a Basic Rectangles Creative Cuts Die and adhered to the front of the side fold card base.

Ugly Sweaters were stamped with Holiday Bitties images, colored in with Copic Markers, die cut with the Holiday Bitties Creative Cuts Dies, and adhered to the background with foam adhesive.
Sentiments from the Holiday Messages Stamp Set were stamped on red cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greetings were trimmed into thin strips and adhered below each sweater with foam adhesive strips as shown.

The designs were finished with a bit of Nuvo Crystal Drops on parts of the sweaters and highlights were added with an opaque white pen.

Scallop Tags Trio with Keeway

Hi friends! It's Keeway and I'm invading the blog today! Ready to start thinking about dressing up your holiday gifts?! One of my all-time favorite things to do even before cardmaking entered my life is gift wrapping. I have loved wrapping gifts so much since I was a little girl that my parents used to let me wrap the whole family's holiday gifts, even my own! And since I joined this crafting world, I started making handmade tags to go along with them.

This month Mama Elephant released the Scallop Tags Trio that is just perfect to create cute little tags to pair with all the cute stamps in your arsenal. Add these to a simple wrapped package for the perfect final touch to your gifts! Let's get started!

I made little scenes on each of my tags. I started by blending a large, thin piece of bristol board with Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch distress inks. I then die cut the various scallop tags out of this blended piece, and then die cut it again using the Galactic Cover die to create the snowy sky. Additionally, I die cut the same tags out of white card stock, and this was adhered behind the first tag flipped.

To finish off the background, I added a snowy ground by first die cutting a piece of white card stock with the Landscape Trio stitched hill border, and then the bottom edge of each tag. I gently blended the stitched edge with Tumbled Glass distress oxide and added it to the bottom of each respective tag.

Next, I stamped a few images from the Yappy Woofmas stamp set in dark brown ink, colored them with copic markers, and die cutted them with the coordinating dies. On the back of each tag, I stamped the words 'a gift for you', 'to:', and 'from:' using the Holiday Messages stamp set. I then die cut the mini versions of each of the Scallop Tags Trio out of a Nude color card stock. On each of these, I stamped a holiday sentiment from the Mini Messages stamp set in dark brown ink.

And now for final assembly! I added a candy cane pattern ribbon to each of the large tags, and then used jute twine to tie a bow with the smaller tag onto the ribbon. Now each tag is ready to be added to my gifts as soon as I write in names. Thanks for joining me today and see you next time!

Bright Lights with Laura

Hi there! Laura here and today I have a project to share with you featuring the Bright Lights stamp set.

Mama Elephant-Bright Lights

To begin I stamped a couple of adorable reindeer images from Reindeer Games along with a strand of lights from Bright Lights. I maked off the reindeer with post-its and blended Distress Oxide inks on the top and bottom of the bristol paper.

Mama Elephant-Bright Lights

After blending I flicked some water as well as some liquid watercolors in like colors. I removed the masks and colored the reindeer with Copics.

Mama Elephant-Bright Lights

I stamped each of the light bulbs with Mama Elephant pigment inks and then added glossy accents. I stamped the sentiment and took a white gel pen to fill in the outlined letters on the sentiment.

Mama Elephant-Bright Lights

It's so fun to be able to mix a new set like Bright Lights with an older Reindeer Games. I think other critters and kiddo images might be fun to try as well. Thank you so much for stopping by today!
