Zodiac Tiger with Thi

Hello, friends! Are you ready to purrrrrtay?! Thi here and today I am sharing my first slimline card I made highlighting Mama Elephant Whimsy Alphas and Zodiac Tiger. I decided to get my punny on and created a funny birthday card. By coloring my tiger images as cats, I think my sentiment makes sense! Haha.
To start, I colored all my tigers in fun colors to make them look like cats. (I think being able to color these tigers as cats gives Zodiac Tiger a lot of versatility as well as being great for all those cat lovers out there!) After I finished coloring, I just die cut them with their coordinating dies. To add more purrrtay fun to my scene, I also colored and die cut a few images from Piñata Party.
For my sentiment, I inked up a piece of Bristol smooth card stock in a few fun sherbet colors before die cutting the letters I needed with Whimsy Alpha. I don't have a lot of color card stock so I find doing it this way saves me paper as well as let me choose the exact color I want to use.
Now it is card base time - I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth paper to 7 x 9 and scored it at 3.5 to make a slim line card that would fit into a #10 standard business envelope. I then inked up the bottom in Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron (coordinating with the colors I used for the Whimsy Alpha letters) and splattered with water and paint. This is a quick way to create an easy yet interesting background.
To finished my card, I added foam tape to all my letters and images (except the piñata) and adhered it to my card base. I glued the piñata directly onto the card base so I can tuck the string under the "R" so it looks like it's hanging on it. I borrowed the word "time" from the "It's Party Time" sentiment from Scripty Bday to finished off my sentiment and my "Purrrtay Time" birthday card is finished!
That's all from me today. Thank you for stopping by and getting your crafty on with me! Ciao!
