Guest Designer Jennifer Rustioni

Hi there! My name is Jennifer and I am Guest Designing for Mama Elephant today! Here is a little bit bit of myself.  I’m 37 years old and I live with my husband and our two little cats in Bergamo, Italy. I’ve always loved creativity in all its forms, but music and art are my greatest passions.

Over the years they have also became my job: I’m a harpist and a coloring teacher as well. When I create a card, I like to imagine it like a small illustration that tells a story with images and colours. That’s one of the reasons why I love so much Mama Elephant’s stamps, because every image it’s also perfect to create not only a simple card, but it’s perfect to create a scene or an illustration too.

I’m so excited to be here today as a guest designer writing this post for you! I want to thank so much Kryssi and Mama Elephant’s team for this amazing opportunity!

For my projects I used two beautiful stamps set: Zodiac Monkey and Beach Chickies. They are so cute, isn’t it?? I often love changing coloring techniques to give different effects to my works.

So, for the “Singing in the Rain” card (I love that musical, don’t you?) I used Distress Ink in two different ways: as watercolors and with ink blending technique too.

In the “Jungle family” card I used soft pastels and pastel pencils to give a soft effect.

For the “Tanned Chick” card I preferred using Copic Markers to have a more defined effect, and for “Christmas in July” card I used watercolors to have a delicate effect.

I hope you’ll enjoy my creations and I wish you all a fantastic Summer full of creativity!

Jennifer

  16. Wonderful scenes and coloring for all the cards. I like the singing rain and have tried to find ways to make that water look to the ground. Great light shine and rain as well.
