First Look: Confetti

Today I'm working with Confetti and I think you will absolutely love this set and want it in your stash ASAP. I love sequins and little bits and pieces of embellishments. But the problem for me is just that, they are so little! I have used real sequins on my projects -- only to have them fall off later on. Boooo! I haven't actually mailed a card with sequins on it, I'm not quite sure how well they'll hold up. So anyway! We created Confetti which sort of solves that problem! Actually, Confetti will help you design stylish flat cards for mailing easily, like this card HERE. Confetti also includes some great packaging sentiments pairing my penmanship with some neat fonts.

My first project, I immediately want to dress up an envelope instead of make a card. I took a kraft envelope and got busy with the stamps from Confetti. I used our Hazel ink to stamp on top of kraft, it is soooooooooo pretty -- the tone on tone stamping!

Everything you see here is from Confetti.

The backside of the card. Isn't it cute?!

Two more cards.. I couldn't help it, I created a confetti garland wreath. :) I love the bow and string! I'm not very good at tying bows and strings, so this is the lazy man'sway out, haha! I think I should've stamped the bow and string in black instead! Sentiment is from Merry Greetings.

Close up of the confetti/sequin cluster of a wreath. Love!

And some more pure sequin fun! Isn't that a fun sentiment?

Release should go live sometime before midnight tonight! I will try to do a recap post around 10 tonight right here of all the new goodies. We try to time the actual release at 12:00AM, but really who are we kidding! By 10 o'clock, both of us are pretty tired and sleepy after a long day of work/kids. We hold out for as long as possible, but I guess it's a good thing for those who like to get their shopping done earlier! :)

First Look: Four Seasons

I'm back with Four Seasons today. Four Seasons can be used in so many ways, since I stink at scrapbooking and all that jazz, I'll leave it to our resident experts later on.

I made a couple of cards using Four Season, I have found that it's quite perfect for non-girly cards, so many great graphic elements that will really make your projects stand out!

My favorite is the circle calendar stamp... and the big number border. Love it. There are a few circle images for you to stamp and layer in the center. You can also use some seasonal images that we've included. Or numbers!

Here's a mini card I made. I first stamped the number border, then added some tasteful design coolness :) with Modern Borders. The tag was created with Embellished Tag. Don't you love that woodgrain butterfly? I wanna stamp it on everything! Think this card would be great for a dude?

Next card is super fun. I stamped the circle date again and then took the polka dot leaf image and stamped around in a rainbow pattern using most of our Creative Color inks. Pretty! There goes our Dainty Bow again. Sentiment is from Lovely Mums.

First Look: Inline Letters

Inline Letters is the companion set to Flashy Letters. We took the base of Flashy Letters, took out the bulbs/dots, and switched them out with a single, sleek line for a modern look!

Inline Letters contains a total of 36 stamps. Approximate measurement: 3/4” in height. You will love that the coordinating Creative Cuts die set work with both Inline Letters and Flashy Letters. We're all about loving all our stamps, past and present equally and helping you make the most of your ME collection!

Now the thing about the coordinating dies, because they are smaller in scale, the dies were designed to not cut a white border/space. I found a really easy, foolproof way to line up the stamped image to the dies for perfect placement every single time!

Here, let me show you an example of the perfect alignment I am talking about...

See? Perfect, right?

I pulled out a lot of older sets to create this card. The large flowers are from Lovely Mums - I inked them up in Blush and Eggplant and cut them out. The floral dots/sprays are from Water Blooms, I went back in with my white gel pen to accentuate some of the dots. The script "wishing you" is from So Breezy. The circle love stamp is from On Target.

At first I was stamping on top of the die cut letters. I've never been good at eyeballing through a thick acrylic block, so I was getting all these messed up letters. Instead of stamping on top of the die cut, I flipped it around. I inked the stamps first, turned it to its back on the table and pressed the die cut on top of the inked stamp. The stamp and die cut are the same size, so you just fit one on top of the other. Perfect alignment.

Here's a quick video showing you how I do it, and how easy it is!

I just love these big bold letters!!! Isn't the Apple ink just the perfect red color?!

Here's a card using just the dies.

HOT DAMN they look good in glitter! And oh yes, those are sequin stamps! More of that coming soon!

Thanks for coming by today. Hope you enjoyed my first crafty video, all 28 second of it, lol!

First Look: Fair Feathers

Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start! We sure are as we start off my projects with my favorite of this release: Fair Feathers. Like I mentioned yesterday, Fair Feathers was something I had on my list since we began, way before the feather trend started! I'm glad we took our time to design and perfect the design, because it was certainly worth the wait. I am absolutely in love with how it turned out, such a gorgeous artistic look. And so fun to play with, with all the inking options! Fair Feathers also come with a coordinating Creative Cuts die set, so cutting these beauties out will be a breeze!

Fair Feathers contains 14 stamps: 6 sentiments and 8 images. Approximate measurements: Large feather: 3-1/4 x 3/4"; Small feather: 1-1/2" x 5/16"; Ink pot: 1/2" x 11/16"

Here's my first card using Fair Feathers. I first stamped the feather line image 5 times, then inked all the tips with gold with the partial solid feather stamp. Then I went about stamping the bottom of the feathers with our new Creative Color inks in Mojito, Bubblegum, Winter, Ocean, and Lollipop

After the stamping was done, I simply die cut them and adhered onto card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and the ink splatters that also come with the set. Pretty, huh?! I'm completely smittened! :)

Next card I just wanted to experiment with the small feather and make it kind of fall in a cascading effect. I stamped it multiple times with our Smoke ink. You can see I kept it really simple. Loving all the white space.

NOVEMBER RELEASE PREVIEWS

Hey there fabulous folks! I can't believe we're previewing the November release now. I have barely recovered from the craziness of last month and now were doing it all over again!

We've got another full serving for you with 4 brand new stamp sets, some coordinating dies, and our Creative Color ink refills! Oh, Party Kit and it's coordinating Creative Cuts dies are also available for purchase. Lots and lots to do, so let's dive right in!

First up is Confetti, a cute little set to dress up your holiday packaging and cards. With the holidays coming up, this set was designed to create flat cards for easy mailing. You'll find lots of cute embellishing bits and pieces as well as some great finishing sentiments that's perfect for the outside of your envelopes.

Fair Feathers is something that's been in the works for quite some time now, it was one of the first sets that I wanted to design, but a year ago but my skills were seriously lacking! We gave our feathers a really stylish artsy spin, I'm just in love with it! You will love how easy it is to create two-toned feathers that are so popular now. Fair Feathers also come with a coordinating die set that will make it a breeze to cut and layer these beauties.

A new year is just ahead of us! We've designed a set that's pretty great for documenting your days. Four Seasons is also great for a quick birthday card or two!

And finally, something I'm super excited about, our newest alphabet set that also comes with coordinating dies. The base of the alphabet is the same as Flashy Letters, so you know what that means, right? The Creative Cuts die set will work with both sets! Double value! :)
