FIRST LOOK: BE YOU

Hello, hello! I'm giving you the First Look at Be You today. It's a really fun set with many, many possibilities no matter what your preference of crafting is! The primary focus of Be You is you, oftentimes we need a little uplifting ourselves too! For this reason, Be You is absolutely perfect for scrapbooking and Project Life type of documenting. And oh so cute for cards too! I'm gonna tackle a bit of everything today!

  • Be You will be available for purchase on June 15th.
  • Be You comes in a 4x6 clear acetate sheet and will retail for $15.00.
  • Be You contains 13 stamps: 8 sentiments and 5 images. Approximate measurements: be happy, be bright, be you banner sentiment: 1-5/16" x 2-1/4"; Rectangular frame: 2-11/16" x 1-1/8"; Starburst labels: 1-1/8"

This was just the set to jump start my scrapbooking mojo again. We all know it'd been sluggish for months now. I haven't had any desire whatsoever to document anything, especially with an iPhone handy my laziness just took over. But then I miss holding an album in my hands and looking at real photos. The first albums I committed to were 8x10 albums. I never really got into it and then invested in 12x12 albums. I did that for a little while but found it a real chore! Then I bought some Project Life items, we all know how that worked out -- not good! Finally, I invested in a bunch of the smaller 6x8 size albums from Snap! It's been a few months and I've been thinking of how I should tackle it. For me, the hardest part is actually getting started. So, today I did something that I just think might work! Full size 6x8 size layouts! The big 12x12 sizes scare me to be honest, so I think this smaller size will work better for me. Fingers crossed.

I stamped the Photo stamp and double ended heart arrow stamp in various rainbow colors. A grid mat came in handy to evenly space and line things up.

The rectangle label and the inside grid stamps are also from Be You. The sentiment is from Good Times.

I think this super small sized format will really work for me. It's only slightly bigger than a card and I don't feel like I need a million embellishments to make it a cohesive design.

Look how cute it looks in the Snap! album! Happy!

Next I created a very quick card using Basic Borders and the tri-banner stamp from be You. One of my blue ink pads has a life of its own, it naturally has a fade of colors (aka some parts dried up) so I used it to my advantage so that only the Be You part of the stamp is more intense.

It's really soft and pretty in real life but difficult to photograph! You'll just have to take my word for it. :)

Have a good one!
