Meet our new Design Team!

Hi everyone, today I am announcing our new Design Team! Yay!

Before I get to that, I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to our girls JJ Bolton, Alice Wertz, Mariana Grigsby, Savannah O'Gwynn, Pearl Lui-Chan, Jenn Biederman, Cheiron Brandon, Geralyn Sy and Lea Lawson. Angela and I humbly thank you for sticking with us through this crazy first year. Your talent and support is immeasurable. And above all, your blind faith in Mama Elephant and us is something we will never forget.

Thank you, you will always have a special place in our hearts.

As we move forward full speed ahead towards our second year, we sought to have more versatility and variety on our team, therefore there was quite a bit of shuffling around. We couldn't bear to say good-bye to anyone as they are now forever part of the ME family, so you will still see them around here from time to time!

Oh. Em. Gee, so here we go! I am so excited to reveal our new Design Team! We have returning members you know and love and also joining us are familiar faces who have guest designed for us this past year. I am thrilled to be working with these fabulous women who are not only down right talented when it comes to stamps and paper, but the nicest people!

Please give a warm welcome to our newest designers! Welcome (and welcome back) to the ME family, girls!!! What a stellar line-up! :)

I asked everyone to give a little bit of an introduction, so let's get to know them a little better! :)

Laura Bassen: My name is Laura Bassen and I am so excited to be joining the Mama Elephant team! I have been a huge fan of Mama Elephant's designs since their very first release, and I am truly honored to work with their talented design team. They have some new and exciting products coming out and I can't wait for you to see it!

Jenn Biederman: Hey there! I'm Jenn, a.k.a. scrapperjjb, wife to an avid fisherman and mother to two beautiful girls. When I am not working my part-time job at the local college, you can find me tucked away in my studio. Art has always been a staple in my life and I started scrapbooking in 1999. In 2008, I fell into the art of card-making and haven't been able to stop since. I love anything vintage or distressed, and usually end up adding some of that style to my artwork. My love for detail will no doubt show up in my work using Mama Elephant stamps. I look forward to working with this talented team!

JJ Bolton: Hi, I'm JJ! I'm a mom, wife, and science nerd living in northern Virginia. I gravitate towards clean and simple card making and especially love using dies! I'm so excited to be a part of the Mama Elephant team!

Emily Leiphart: I live in Toronto, Canada, with my husband and our amazing five-year-old son. Art has always been part of my life! I've taught arts and crafts at music camp as well as creative lunch-time and after-school programs at various schools. My day isn't complete if I haven't created something and my son has already developed the same passion! I've been paper crafting for about five years and have loved every minute of it. Before I started paper crafting, I was a published make-up artist so a lot of my inspiration still comes from fashion and editorials. I enjoy creating, no matter the medium. I lean towards card-making but I've been known to make tags, 3D projects and even layouts when inspiration strikes. I’m thrilled to be adding Mama Elephant to my paper crafting resume and it’s a great honour to have been chosen by Kryssi and Angie to join their design team!

Pearl Lui-Chan: Hi! I am a NYC-born and bred, online marketing nerd by day and craft gal by night. I have pretty much crafted all my life, but started seriously investing in the hobby in 2003. My design style is reflective of my mood, some days it's clean and simple while other days it could be multi-layered. Mostly, I'm inspired by the products -- how can you not be inspired by Mama Elephant's beautiful designs!?

Nichol Magouirk: Hi stampers! I'm Nichol Magouirk and I've been paper crafting for about 16 years and have been involved in the paper crafting industry in some fashion since 2002. I started out as a scrapbooker who dabbled with stamping and over the years have evolved into a scrapbooker and card maker who uses stamps on just about every single thing I create! I'm passionate about stamping and getting the most out of my stamps. I'm thrilled to be a part of the Mama Elephant Design Team and I'm looking forward to sharing my Mama Elephant stamped creations with you!

Geralyn Sy: Hi everyone! My name is Geralyn and I live in BC, Canada. I started scrapbooking in high school, when I first stumbled upon this hobby and was intrigued at how it combined my interests in photography, art, and memory keeping. This is also my second year doing Project Life, and I love how it is a way to document everyday memories. My crafting style is clean but a little whimsical. I like using lots of color and I love to add details to my projects. I'm so happy to be part of Mama Elephant's design team because stamping is one of my favorite techniques and Mama Elephant's stamps are so trendy and versatile! I'll be sharing with you all some layouts, Project Life, and an occasional card or two these coming months.

Are you as stoked as I am?! I've been a fan forever of these girls and to have them on our lineup is a dream come true! I can't wait for everyone to get down and dirty with all our new products. Inspiration will be oozing off your screen!

Alrighty, see you tomorrow for an extra special Stamp Preview post!
