The Penguin's Waddle with Mette

Hello! Mette Witus here today with a cute tiny gift bag featuring the new The Penguin's Waddle Stamps and Framed Tags - Delancey Creative Cuts.



As soon as I saw the little bag die in the Delancey set, I knew it would make great little gift bags for jewelry, giftcards, tags or candies.

 
I started by cutting the two bag pieces – one from Neenah cardstock, and the other from green cardstock. 
On the Neenah piece, I stamped the adorable penguins from The Penguin's Waddle and colored them in. I also used a green Copic to make the background match the cardstock.

To make room for the gifts in the bag, I cut a strip of green cardstock to 8 7/8 inches by 1 inch, and two pieces of the same green cardstock to 3 by 1 inch. 


Then I scored the small strips down the middle at ½ inch, making them into little hinges or flaps for the left side of the bag pieces. 
The long pieces is scored at 3 ¼ and 5 5/8 inches on the long side, and on the short side, I scored it at 1/2 inch and 3 inches in from each end. Make sure to fold all the score lines.

To assemble the bag, I added the 3 ¼ inch strips to the left sides of the bag die cut. This gives it the extra flap needed to attach the long cardstock strip. 
Then I added adhesive to all the flaps and added the long strip to the first bag piece, starting from the bottom of the bag. 
Repeat with the other side, making sure the flaps are all inside the bag.





I thought the bag would look adorable with one of the previously released Mini tag dies, which I cut from white cardstock and vellum. I heat embossed a sentiment from Mini Merry Messages on the vellum tag and tied both to the bag using a bit of string. Then all it needed was a gift and a bit of tissue paper.
